My first experience with Hellofresh

I’ve been wanting to try Hellofresh for what seems like forever now. Its everywhere - tv commercials, social media influencers, and coupons in the mail every week. I always set aside the coupons to check out the site and make an order, but they always tended to fall into that dreaded pile of stuff you never ever have time to come back to.

I was so excited when Hellofresh reached out to me asking if id like to try one of their boxes for a review on my instagram page. I was able to look on the site and choose the three meal kits we wanted. I was pleased to see so many options. Not only with such a diverse selection of entree meats, but world cuisines, vegetarian dishes, and low calorie meals. Everything was clearly labeled with allergens, spiciness, and the expected prep time.

The meals we chose were:

Cherry Balsamic Pork Chops with Garlic Herb Couscous and Roasted Broccoli

Argentine Chimichurri Steak with a Sweet Potato, Poblano, and Tomato Jumble

Herbed Chicken Cutlets with Creamy Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Zucchini

It was SO convenient to have the items shipped right my house, and I was even able to choose the date I wanted it delivered. (Not the that mattered because everything came in a refrigerated box anyway!)

Ive always loved cooking, and still do, but I have so much less time this year after Ellie has been born. By the time we get home from work, we have about an hour before its time for baby’s bedtime! Its hard not to fall into a habit or ordering in every night just for convinience. Having all of the ingredients pre-portioned saved so much time and we were able to throw together a healthy and delicious meal in less then 30 minutes.

The food was delicious, perfectly portioned (anyone else put aside leftovers every time they cook to NEVER come back to?!) and was healthy yet satisfying.

Hellofresh, you’ve won me over. =)
