Frozen Yogurt Bites for Baby
I tried a sweet and EASY little project this weekend and it was so simple that I have to share it with you! Does your baby or toddler like yogurt? Of course they do, because all babies love yogurt. After Eloise is done with her dinner, she always needs a little snack to keep her occupied while Spencer and I finish ours. I usually resort to puffs, and sometimes even the packaged freeze dried yogi melts, even though I’m not crazy about how much sugar is in them. So I decided to give it a go at making my own yogurt snacks. I took one of her organic Yobaby yogurts by Stoneyfield, and poured it into a piping bag. I happen to have a lot of piping bags because I (used to) love to decorate cakes (before I had a baby,) BUT if you don’t have any on hand, just use a ziplock bag and snip off the corner!
I squeezed little drops onto a flat plate, which was sprayed with a thin layer of cooking spray. Once the plate was full, I stuck it in the freezer as is to flash freeze them. Make sure you lay it on a flat surface. If your freezer is like mine, complete chaos, you might have to move a few things around to make a flat space.
After about an hour, I took the plate out, popped off the yogurt drops, and then transferred them into a container for easy access.
They were a hit! She loved snacking on them. Just don’t keep them out too long, because they will start to melt after a bit. And a teeny disclaimer, if baby holds them too long before they make it into the mouth, they might get a little messy. But life’s a little messy right? Right.
Until next time, Xo.
